TeleTrusT awards antispameurope the “IT-Security Made in Germany” seal

Hanover, 21/10/2011 – The IT security association TeleTrusT has awarded its quality mark “IT-Security Made in Germany” to antispameurope. The Hanover-based cloud security specialists fulfil the conditions set by TeleTrust for companies to use the seal. These include factors such as having a registered office and conducting IT security research in Germany, and also the development of transparent and trustworthy IT security solutions. A key requirement is that the provider must be subject to the German Data Protection Act, which is very strict compared to other countries’ data protection laws. This goes without saying for German companies, but not for many international providers.

The “IT Security Made in Germany” (ITSMIG) mark was established in 2005, at the initiative of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and representatives of the German IT security industry. Since 2011, TeleTrusT has conducted all ITSMIG activities as an independent working group within the association.
