Cloud security now transparent: antispameurope Control Panel 5.0

Version 5.0 of Control Panel provides 100 per cent transparency through rights management, a notification service and an extended audit function

Hanover, 5/10/2011 – antispameurope presents transparent cloud security with Version 5.0 of its Control Panel. With the new rights management module, customers and partners will now have considerable influence over their users’ rights and access authorisations. Detailed rights can be granted or refused in hierarchically subordinated levels. Configuration can be carried out overall or for individual users. The cloud security specialists from Hanover also provide further modules, with the Notification Service and a new statistics area, which ensure overall transparency.

The broad configuration options include password requirements, with criteria such as password length and complexity, LDAP alignment and single sign on, as well as IP guidelines which only allow logins from particular networks. In addition, the authorisation boundaries for customers and partners can be considerably extended or reduced. It is therefore also possible to outsource individual processes directly to external companies and to specifically grant them authorisations for individual modules. For help desk functions, external and internal users can be established with precisely defined rights. Also, auditors can supervise and inspect all actions of all users. A four-eyes principle makes access to long-term archived emails audit compliant. A functionality included in the audit module also makes access by auditors transparent.

The “Notification Service” is a completely new module which allows antispameurope’s partners to configure internal and external notifications. When certain events occur, such as setting up new customers or activating or deactivating email archiving, the system triggers an automatic alarm for configured users or groups. Pre-configured templates can be individualised by partners on-line for all notifications.

Auditors can use the auditing module to keep track of all changes within the system. The system logs all activities in an auditable manner and presents them on-line in searchable form. Log-in attempts, changes of code word, adjustments of security settings and configurations are thus permanently archived.

The statistics module has also been upgraded – the clearly designed analysis of email traffic can now be applied to either an entire domain or individual users. It is presented graphically in the form of a pie chart, line graph and bar chart. Absolute statistical values can be exported. Analysis is also possible of which users receive the most spam, virus emails or solicited messages. Moreover, with Version 5.0 analysis can be carried out for a period of time defined by the user.

“We are delighted that we have been able to take the next major development leap in a short period of time,” says Daniel Hofmann, CEO of antispameurope. “With these changes we offer almost 100 per cent transparency, great flexibility and auditability for the cloud solutions we offer and thus prove once again that our partners’ and users’ confidence in us is justified. We will keep up the pace of our work and plan the next release at the end of the year.”

antispameurope will also exhibit the latest Control Panel version at this year’s it-sa in Nuremburg. Interested persons can find out about the most important functions and features from 11 to 13 October 2011 at stand 528 in hall 12.
